well, it is a twist in the never ending saga to get some form of business rolling. I have started up this business with jeremy and it will occupy the neighboring shop space originally set for retail. We will focus on consignment of new and used bikes, components and frames.

tour des suds 2011

just put the final touches on the tour des suds bike! what a great bike I must say, and for a great cause. Shit, if you own a shop in this town and are selling and servicing bikes its nuts not to contribute what you can. I honestly am way too broke to donate 2k, but I can donate my labor and some time to build up a bike frame and some parts, and broker some help from quality bicycle products to get the rest set. (thanks quality!)
I had a great ride yesterday, my one day off a month, and was reminded how happy I am to be here. Its expensive to live here, but rich folks need poor folks to do menial work right?
Getting ready for winter, added a new website to show off what hopefully will be an excellent collection of bikes, frames and parts on consignment to help folks who just love to hunt for bits.

Its pouring rain out, looks like I am driving tonight...

August Park City Single Speed Time Trial 25th of August..

just a heads up, the second time trial is set for the 25th of this month. The meeting spot is at the parking lot at quinns junction (by the NAC). The start line is located in the bike path tunnel that cuts under kearns boulevard and we will start at 6pm. Interval start will be staggered by number of folks we get signed in, but at a minimum 1 minute intervals...
Donations only, all goes to mountain trails foundation, and we will do the awards right after the event at high west distillery.

early hours...

its always best to get up early, right? it has been a 4am start to the day, with titanium on the menu, its not that I need to, I want to get up and do this. Get'er done is the motto, catch up on long overdue stuff and take on new stuff, gotta pay rent, gotta eat...
on a side note, recommend a respirator when using a beartex wheel, unless you like coating your lungs with the stuff...

sounds like a porn name if you ask me. Salt Lake local Greg Steele ordered this rig for an upcoming event, and as usual I am powering forward at full speed to knock it out. Today will see some metal actually get stuck together.
The real ass kicker is the head tube, the spec requires me to use essentially a pipe to achieve the proper size. I am not looking forward to turning this thing to size, as it will not only take time, but more importantly a shit ton of the VERY expensive material will hit the floor in the process.
Its 6am, time to get to the shop.
I will have extra head tubes, so if you need one for a Canondale lefty in ti please call, and thanks to the crew at Form cycles for the hookup, will send you that dropout next week when the dust settles.
